Thank you for visiting our website https://lernen.christiani-digital.de and for your interest in our company and services. We do not assume any liability for external links to third-party content – despite careful monitoring by us – as we did not initiate the transmission of this information, nor was the addressee of the transmitted information or the transmitted information itself selected or

Protecting your personal data during its collection, processing and use when visiting our website is one of our key concerns and this is carried out within the framework of the statutory regulations; you can learn more about these regulations at www.bfd.bund.de, for example.
Below we explain the information that we collect when you visit our websites and how this data is used:

1. Collection and storage of personal data; nature and purpose of its use

a) When you visit our website

Each time a customer (or other visitor) accesses our website, information is automatically sent to our website’s server by the internet browser used on your end device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) This information is temporarily stored in a log file.

As part of this process and without any action on your part, the following data is collected and stored until it is automatically erased:

  • IP address of the computer making the request, along with the device ID or individual device identifier and device type;
  • Name of the file being requested and volume of data transferred, along with the date and time of request;
  • Notification of successful access;
  • The domain making the request;
  • Description of the type of internet browser used and, where applicable, the operating system of your end device along with the name of your access provider;
  • Process data from your browser and standard weblog information;
  • Location data, including location data from your mobile device. Please note that most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services via the device’s settings menu.

In accordance with Article 6(1f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in collecting the data is based on the following purposes: Guaranteeing that a connection can be established with the website without issue and that our website is convenient to use, assessing system security and stability and for further administrative
purposes.

We do not use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about you as an individual under any circumstances.

b) When you use our contact form

If you have any questions, we provide the option of contacting us using a form made available on our website. To do this, the following information is required as a minimum: so that we know who sent the enquiry and we are able to respond. Additional information may be transferred voluntarily.
Data processing is carried out for the purpose of getting in touch with us in accordance with Article 6(1a) GDPR, on the basis of your freely given consent. The personal data we collect for the use of our contact form is automatically erased once your enquiry has been dealt with.

c) When you conclude a contractual relationship

When concluding a contractual relationship on our website, we will ask you to provide the following personal data:

– Additional personal data that we are legally obligated or authorised to collect and process and that we require for authentication or identification or in order to verify the data we collect from you.

The above data is processed for the purpose of fulfilling the contractual relationship. Processing of the data is carried out based on Article 6(1b) GDPR. The storage period is limited in line with the purpose of the agreement and, where applicable, any statutory or contractual retention obligations.

2 · Forwarding of personal data

Your data is not transmitted to third parties for any purposes besides those specified below.

We only share your data with third parties if:

  • You have provided your express consent (Article 6(1a) GDPR);
  • This is necessary for the fulfilment of the contractual relationship with you
    (Article 6(1b) GDPR);
  • There is a legal obligation to forward said data (Article 6(1c) GDPR);
  • Forwarding is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being forwarded (Article 6(1f) GDPR).

However, in these cases, the data transmitted is limited only to the minimum extent required.

Our privacy policy complies with the applicable data protection regulations and the data is processed only within the Federal Republic of Germany/European Union. Data is not transferred to third countries, nor is this planned.

3. Rights of the data subject

Upon request, we will be happy to provide you with information as to whether personal data relating to you is stored and, if so, what data is stored (Article 15 GDPR), in particular information about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the categories of recipient to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, the envisaged storage period, the
existence of the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of personal data or to object to such processing, the right to lodge a complaint, the source of your personal data if this was not collected by us and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling.

You also have the right to have any inaccurate collected personal data rectified or have any incomplete data completed (Article 16 GDPR).

Furthermore, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your data, provided that the legal requirements are met (Article 18 GDPR).

You have the right to receive the personal data that relates to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request that this be transmitted to another controller (Article 20 GDPR).

You also have the “right to be forgotten”, i.e. you may request that we erase your personal data, provided that the legal requirements are met (Article 17 GDPR).

Notwithstanding the above, we will automatically erase your personal data once the purpose of data collection no longer applies or if the data processing has been carried out unlawfully.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, provided that a right to object is provided for by law. In the case of a valid withdrawal of consent, your personal data will also be automatically erased by us (Article 21 GDPR).

Should you wish to exercise your right to withdraw consent or your right to object, simply send an e-mail to:
lernportal@christiani.de.

4. Data retention period

The collected data will be stored by us for as long as is necessary for the performance of the agreements concluded with us or until you exercise your right to erasure or your right to have your data transmitted to another company.

5. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device when you visit our website. Cookies store information produced in connection with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we directly obtain knowledge about your identity. Cookies are used firstly to make our website more appealing for you to use:

For example, we use session cookies to recognise whether you have already visited individual sub-pages on our website. If you have registered, this means that your password will be stored for the duration of your visit to our website and when changing sub-pages, so you do not need to re-enter your password each time. Once you leave our website, these session cookies are automatically deleted.

On the other hand, we also use cookies to record and analyse statistics about the use of our website and to optimise our services for you. These cookies allow us to automatically recognise visitors who have been to our website before. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period. The data processed by cookies is necessary for the aforementioned purposes in order to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties, in accordance with Article 6(1f) GDPR. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. If you do not wish for us to recognise information about your computer, please configure your Internet browser to delete cookies from your computer hard drive, to block all cookies or to alert you before a cookie is stored. You can find out how to delete or block cookies in the help and support sections in your Internet browser, where you will find guidance on how to locate the file or folder in which cookies are stored. In any case, please note that completely disabling cookies may result in you being unable to use all the features of our website.

6. Online marketing/analysis tools

The tracking measures that we use are implemented on the basis of Article 6(1f) GDPR and Section 15(3) of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). We use these tracking measures with the aim of ensuring that our website is appropriately designed and optimised on an ongoing basis. We also use tracking measures to record statistics about the use of our website so that we can evaluate and optimise our Internet presence. These interests are considered legitimate within
the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics for the purposes of designing our websites appropriately and optimising it on an ongoing basis. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (https://www.google.co.uk/about//) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter referred to as “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are generated and cookies (see also Item 5) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website – such as the browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address) and time of the server request – is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. This information is used to analyse use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services related to the use of the website and the Internet for the purposes of market research and designing this website appropriately. For these purposes, we also have a legitimate interest in data processing. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15(3) TMG in conjunction with Article 6(1f) GDPR.

This information may also be transferred to third parties where required by law or insofar as third parties perform commissioned data processing. Under no circumstances is your IP address combined with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymised to prevent their attribution to individuals (IP masking).

Data that we send and that is linked to cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs is erased automatically after 14 months. The erasure of data that has reached the end of its respective storage period is carried out automatically once a month.

You can find more information about the Terms of Use and about data protection at Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html or http://www.google.com/intl/us/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

You can prevent the installation and storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; please note, however, that in this case you will not be able to make full use of all features of our website.

Furthermore, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie and linked to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected, and also prevent the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link:
tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

As an alternative to this browser add-on, and particularly for browsers on mobile devices, you can click on the following link to prevent data collection by Google Analytics. This sets an opt-out cookie which prevents your data from being collected in future when you visit this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. The opt-out cookie only applies to the browser you are currently using and only for our website, and is stored on your device. If you delete cookies in your browser, you will have to place this opt-out cookie again.

Google Adwords/conversion tracking

We also use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, as part of Google AdWords, conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is an analytics service provided by Google. If you click on an advertisement operated by Google, this places a conversion tracking cookie on your end device. These cookies expire after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and are not used to identify individuals. If you visit certain web pages on our website before the cookie
expires, we and Google can detect that you clicked on the advertisement and were redirected to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. It is therefore not possible for cookies to be tracked via websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie serves to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have elected to use conversion tracking. This tells customers the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive information that personally identifies users. For these purposes, we also have a legitimate interest in data processing. The legal basis for the use of Google Adwords/conversion tracking is Section 15(3) TMG in conjunction with Article 6(1f) GDPR.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you may object to its use by appropriately setting your browser software to prevent the installation of cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com” (disablement option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and Google’s Privacy Policy can be found at:
http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ ,

Links to our profiles on social networks

Our website includes links to our profiles on social networks. We wish to point out that these consist only of links that redirect the user to our profiles on said networks; they are not, for example, plug-ins that can be used to “share” or “like” the information on our website via these networks. As far as we are aware, it is not technically possible for social networks to collect personal data on our
website via these simple links. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection after the user has been redirected, please refer to the data privacy statement of the respective network.

Data security

We endeavour to take all technical and organisational security measures necessary in order to store your personal data in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties or to the public. We would like to point out that, should you wish to contact us via e-mail, the confidentiality of the transmitted information cannot be fully guaranteed using this means of communication. We therefore recommend that you only send us confidential information via post.

The continuing development of our website and the services therein or changes to statutory or official requirements may make it necessary to amend this Data Privacy Statement.
